Our Chroma Key Studio offers features not found elswhere that make it ideal for complicatated CGI productions. For instance, the 40'x60' dimensions of our studio is an optimum size for Chroma Key shoots. Unlike smaller studios, it enables you to separate the lighting for the background from the lighting for the talent in the foreground; so that the lighting on your talent does not have to be flat in order to get a good key. Separation also helps to get a cleaner key because it greatly reduces the reflection of green light off the walls and into the shadowed parts of your talent's face. Our two piece black stage curtain can also be drawn over the green cyc wall not in frame to further reduce the reflection of green light off the walls enabling you to get a cleaner key. The high 17.5' grid height assures that there will be less fall off from top to bottom on the back wall, and from head to toe on your talent. It also allows room to hang, without dipping into your shot, the large 6kw Space Lights that are the preferred approach to creating the base key level.

Our three wall cyc simply gives you more working room, than a one or two wall cyc, before you shoot off the background. In fact, our three wall cyc gives you more background than our competitor's larger studios with their two wall cycs, because you can get as wide, if not wider, a shot without shooting off the cyc with the third wall. With a third cyc wall you will probably not have to cheat camera angels, or reset talent and lightng, when you punch in for cross cutting closeups - which can be a real time savings. The third cyc wall also enables you to do 180 degree dolly or steadycam moves.

That's not all, our studio is the only independent production stage to offer the time-saving amenity of a full pipe grid with distributed power - a feature that can eliminate the $1'000s in additional labor required to light with box truss at our competitor's studios. The extensive acoustical treatment of our studio will give you a clean audio track without the reverb of a large, mostly empty, studio. Finally, where our Chroma Key Studio's default color is chroma key green there is no fee to paint our studio's three cyc walls, or an additional fee for power. These are just a few of the reasons why our studio is better suited for Chroma Key shoots than just about any other studio in town.
