Single Ended HMI Par Lights

Arri established a new standard with the introduction of their single ended HMI pars. When the new brighter single ended globes were developed, Arri took the opportunity to computer engineer the interaction of lamp, reflector and converter lens, resulting in unmatched light performance. Arri's advanced engineering made their 4KW Par the brightest on the market (brighter than the LTM, Desisti, Altman Pars) earning it the "plus" designation. To ensure maximum beam control in all situations Arri also introduced a wider range of converter lenses, including a Fresnel lens to create crisper patterns. This combination of brightness and beam control, has made the Arri 4KW Par Plus the first choice of lighting professionals everywhere.

The light is sold with the accessories shown (Bulb not included). The system consists of a Power Gems 425CD Electronic Ballast, a 50 ft. State of the Art Power Gems Flicker Free Electronic Ballast

You may want to buy this system for the ballast alone. A new 2.5/4kw ballast alone will cost you $6'370.00. The Power Gems 425CD Electronic Ballast is similar to the Arri Ballast, but offers the notable advantage of being a universal ballast. Since Power Gems only makes ballasts (they make them for LTM, Strand, Cinemills, Film Gear, and Mole) they make their ballasts so that they will operate any light on the market - even Arri lights. This feature can be quite advantageous to small owner operators. You don't have to invest in a ballast for every light you own, the Power Gems 425CD Electronic Ballast allows you to mix and match it with different sizes (1200, 2500, and 4000 Watts) and types (Par or Fresnel) of lights depending on the requirement of the job. Where the ballast is usually half the cost of a complete HMI system, buying a universal ballast like the Power Gems 425CD can result in a tremendous savings.

Unlike the old Lightmaker Ballasts, the Power Gems 425CD electronic ballast will operate at 120V or 220V. The 220V feature of this ballast will allow you to operate a 2500W or 4000W light off of common household outlets with the appropriate adapter. This ballast makes this light the brightest light that you can safely plug into wall outlets without the need for a tie-in or generator.
